Urs Hauenstein’s art
Urs Hauenstein grew up in a family of entrepreneurs and artists in Switzerland. Entrepreneurship and art production, shoe design and shoe production, Bauhaus architecture, yewellery design, etc., but also the management of it, have been part of his life since childhood.
He was able to experience his first successful public art exhibition in 1978 at the age of 20. Even then, the focus was on contemporary art. At that time, he mainly devoted himself to various printing techniques of the old masters, such as copperplate engraving, aquatint, etching, lithography, woodcut, linocut, etc.
Urs Hauenstein has been active internationally for years as president of various non-profit associations and organizations, and as a researcher in VET, TVET and universities. As a “Visiting Professor of Management and Education for the Future”, he is often responsible for international partnerships and networking collaborations in various schools, colleges and universities.
Creativity and innovation are the focus.
Over the years he became more and more interested in drawing and painting with acrylics. The formats of his works range from miniatures to large formats. In his works, colorful life is depicted with rhythm and color. He is particularly interested in people with lifelong learning, skills and qualifications. Urs Hauenstein’s “Headworlds” are intended to respond in particular to the viewers and owners of his pictures and draw them into the design process, thus allowing the works to grow authentically together.
It is important to Urs Hauenstein that his pictures feel comfortable and fit into their future surroundings. “My pictures are organisms and have a soul.” He is convinced that life and creativity arise from joy and desire and are important for intensive development. However, they also have responsibility for their existence and their impact in their/our lives, a sustainable “ArtEcoSociety”.
His greatest joy is when the viewer can find their own world in his worlds and a living and working world can be created together, a new “touching and magical world for our future”!
