Clusters are the Hauenstein Institute’s strategic engine rooms—dynamic, interdisciplinary spaces where ideas become practice and each of our four Intellectual Programmes is actively developed. Each Cluster is dedicated to one of HI’s core pillars—Humanistic Management, Leadership Competency Models, Integral Regeneration, and Inclusive Sustainability—ensuring that our intellectual foundations are continuously advanced, tested, and translated into real‑world impact.
Led by our Cluster Directors, these teams steward the conceptual depth, practical relevance, and strategic direction of their respective fields. The Directors work in close partnership with one another, reflecting the inherently overlapping nature of interdisciplinary and practice‑based innovation. No single programme stands alone; each Cluster informs and strengthens the others, creating a living ecosystem of ideas, methods, and applied learning.
As resources allow, each Director will build a dedicated Cluster Team to pursue the four operational pillars that drive HI’s work:
• Research that deepens understanding and generates new knowledge
• Consultancy that supports organisations in applying regenerative principles
• Diagnostics that help leaders and institutions assess their capacities and contexts
• Training projects that cultivate the competencies needed for a flourishing future
Clusters ensure that HI remains both intellectually rigorous and practically grounded. They allow us to respond to emerging challenges, prototype new approaches, and support leaders and institutions with insight that is current, contextual, and regenerative. Through the Clusters, HI’s mission becomes a living practice—continuously evolving, collaborative, and oriented toward long‑term economic, societal, and ecological wellbeing.
